As the final two months of 2025 approach, it’s natural to pause and take stock of where we are and where we’re headed. The end of the year is a powerful time for reflection, release, and renewal.


Think of it this way: every new year gives us a chance to redefine ourselves. But before we step into 2026, it’s worth asking — what are you ready to leave behind? And what will you take with you as you continue becoming the person you truly want to be?


Whether your list is long or short, this moment can mark the beginning of your journey back to yourself.


🌿 Things to Leave Behind in 2025

Here are a few patterns, habits, and even relationships you might consider releasing before you step into a new year:

  • Procrastination – Stop waiting for “the right time.” The right time is now.

  • Negative self-talk – Speak to yourself like someone you love.

  • Toxic relationships – Friends, family, partners, or narcissists — you deserve peace.

  • People-pleasing – You don’t need to shrink yourself to make others comfortable.

  • Giving away your energy – Protect your peace and set boundaries.

  • Caring too much about what others think – Their opinions don’t define your worth.

  • Unhealthy wellness habits – Your body and mind both deserve care.

  • Not using your voice – Speak up. You matter.

  • Putting others first (all the time) – Compassion includes you.

  • Self-doubt – Trust yourself — you’ve come farther than you think.

  • Unmanaged anxiety, depression, or ADHD – Healing is possible and help is available.

  • Trying to gain your parent’s approval – You don’t need validation to be enough.

  • Not exploring your true identity – Ask yourself who you are, what you want, and what truly fulfills you.

  • Putting off the trip, dream, or adventure – Life is happening now. Take the leap.

And of course… there’s always more that might need to stay behind in 2025.


🌅 What to Take with You into 2026

As you let go, make space for growth. Carry forward your self-awareness, courage, authenticity, and joy. Take your lessons, your healing, and your sense of purpose.


This next chapter isn’t about becoming a new person — it’s about remembering who you’ve always been and honoring that version of yourself fully.
